With its picturesque chalets and their stone-slabbed roofs, Valmorel is a typical Savoyard village. From 1,300 to 2,550 m altitude, on skis or on snowshoes, discover the magnificent scenery and enjoy panoramic views over forests and pastures as far as the breathtaking slopes of the Cheval Noir summit.

Valmorel boasts a truly exceptional skiing area : its northerly aspect and numerous snow cannons ensure optimal snow cover throughout the season. And while you are skiing you can admire the majestic mountain ranges of Mont Blanc, the Dome des Ecrins and the Lauzière.

The Grand Domaine consists of Valmorel, Doucy Combelouvière and Saint François Longchamp - resorts linked by 150km of ski runs and 50 ski lifts, equipped with 342 snow cannons and a snowzone with a boarder cross course, a jump and rail zone and a free-ride area.

Valmorel offers a wide scope of entertainment:

Walking tours and Nordic outings organized by the resort: hikes, cross-country skiing trails, horse-drawn sled rides, snowshoe hikes, historical walks… Evening adventures: Kanata the igloo village, quad outings (one or two-seater), snowshoe hikes, “Snake-gliss” group sledging and Air board (inflatable airsled) sledging.
Indoor activities: Les Cimes Spa, Val’tiff hairdresser / beauty parlour, cinema, and other evening entertainment organized by local tradesmen.

A whole variety of activities is organized by the resort and villages throughout the region: hiking, via ferrata, treetop aerial courses, canyoning, rafting and white water sports, climbing, cyclotourism, trips to well-known Alpines cols…
